Fire Protection Upgrades – this project included the complete design, engineering, and construction of a new fire suppression and detection system through the site. Incorporated was multiple Victaulic Vortex hybrid water mist systems through the generators, as well as wet sprinkler systems in many common areas. Detection and releasing duties were completed through multiple panels, all networked together to provide a modern fire detection system, including Fenwal heat detection and Protectorwire systems throughout. The majority of the work was required to be completed during multiple shutdowns with strict completion dates and no lost production. This project carries a value of approximately $2.5M, and was started in March 2018 with completion scheduled for February 2019.
